I can't believe that Caroline will be 20 months at the end of this week. It feels like just yesterday we brought her home. She had a Christmas photo session with a photographer before Thanksgiving. The day was muggy and cloudy, but the photos came out great other than the weather.
Wow! I can't believe Christmas is already over. Caroline's 2nd Christmas was a hit. I have to say that her favorite presents were the Dora ball pit and her indoor slide. Our house will look like a play ground for the next couple of months I am sure. Her other goodies from Santa included a personalized doll cradle, another highchair and shopping cart. Her present from her Dad was a cute children's book of Bible stories. She received a pearl personalized bracelet from me, which actually doesn't fit and has to be brought back. Oh well, she doesn't even notice.
We had Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve this year for the 1st time because my Dad had to work on Christmas Day. My Mom out did herself with the cooking and the table scape was beautiful. It was 12 Days of Christmas themed. Each plate has a cracker on it that you popped open and inside was a paper crown, toy and jokes. We wore the crowns which is an English tradition. Thanks Mom!
So I really didn't think Caroline would get into the Advent Calender this yea, but I was wrong! She was obsessed. Every night like clock work she would go to the Advent Calender, take it down from the counter and bring over to the couch so Richie and I could help her. She would tear into it and put that chocolate so fast in her mouth, like we were going to take it from her. It was sad the day it was over. The pictures are from the last day of the calender. I thought she would be more upset, but she hasn't even looked for it since that day.
Thank you Me Maw and Paw Paw for my new Bitty Baby. Thank Ms. Lindsey for my for my sweet long onsie too! I took a few pictures of Caroline and Bitty Baby when she laid on my bed while I took off the bedding to clean. They also had a lunch date.
We went to Richie's parents house the weekend before Christmas. Caroline loved getting play with all her cousins and of course getting presents. Caroline got her beloved Bitty Baby and highchair. She received such wonderful gifts from her aunts, uncles and cousins. She is truly blessed. She also received the 3 in 1 tricycle. She was actually caught this evening standing up on its seat. She is such a dare devil!
We had our last day of Kindermusik a couple of weeks ago. I am so upset because I do know how much Caroline loved it. Maybe will we do it again in the Spring. Next....Gymboree! Yeah! I know Caroline will love it. Here are some pictures of her last day. She received a certificate and everything! I think she was really proud of it. Richie also joined us that day. He was very excited to get to join.
Ms. Courtney picked up a sparkly pink Christmas tree a couple of weeks ago, and I finally got around to decorating it tonight. Thank You! We love it! Thanks for the candy garland too!
